MIRACLE.DK Help File
MIRACLE Piano Teaching System Drum / Patch Map
-Band-in-a-Box doesn't yet support the proprietary serial port interface
on the Miracle. ( You can check the list of Midi interfaces we do
support by pressing S on the Welcome screen, to insure that we haven't
added "Miracle"to the list.
- So to hear music played by Band-in-a-Box on the Miracle, you need
a Midi interface. Most people use MPU401 compatible cards like Roland
or Music Quest. In addition to these , Band-in-a-Box also supports
other interfaces like Midiator,SoundBLaster.
-The file Miracle.DK contains the drum notes and patch numbers to remap
the notes Band-in-a-Box uses (General Midi numbers) to the notes used
by the Miracle.
- Once you load in the Miracle.DK file , you should then save it disk
as MySetup.DK ( inside Band-in-a-Box from the MIDI pull down menu)
The MySetup.DK file will auto-load the Miracle Drum notes every time
you start up Band-in-a-Box.
- The MIRACLE is ready to receive MIDI right away, no setup required.
If for some reason it isn't receiving MIDI, then Power it off and
on , then press PLAY again on Band-in-a-Box.
- VOLUME changes are supposed to be supported by the Miracle
(see p.33 of Miracle manual). We tried and tried but never got
the Miracle to actually respond to a volume change. Either we
were having a bad day , or it actually doesn't respond to MIDI
volume changes.
HAVE FUN !
